Foreign students can now obtain PIN directly at universities in Kyrgyzstan
Foreign students at four universities in Kyrgyzstan can now obtain a personal identification number (PIN) directly at their place of study, without visiting public service centers (PSC). On-site service was organized by the state enterprise Center for Admission of Foreign Students and the state institution Kyzmat, the Center for the Admission of International Students (CAFS) reported.
According to the center's director Chyngyz Uzakbayev, the service is currently available at four educational institutions:
- International School of Medicine of the International University of Kyrgyzstan;
- Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbayev;
- International Higher School of Medicine;
- Institute of Clinical Medicine and Biomedical Technologies of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
Thanks to the on-site service, students can obtain a PIN directly at the university, without wasting time traveling to the PSC and waiting in line.
"Our task is to make public services more accessible and convenient for foreign students. We strive to create conditions under which students can receive the necessary services directly at their educational institutions, saving time and simplifying the adaptation process in Kyrgyzstan," Uzakbayev noted.
In the future, the center, together with Kyzmat, intends to expand the service to other universities in Kyrgyzstan.
The document also expanded the powers of the Center for Admission of Foreign Students.
The center has received the right to accredit recruiting agencies and other partners attracting foreign applicants, as well as maintain their official register.
In addition, the enterprise can generate invitations for foreign applicants after their registration in the automated system and document verification.
Such an invitation serves as an additional basis for issuing a category S study visa.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consider visa applications of foreign students based on the necessary documents and invitations from the center, as well as inform about study opportunities in Kyrgyzstan through diplomatic missions and consulates.
