# «Кумтор» переходит на подземный способ добычи золота – фоторепортаж

**Накануне, 15 февраля 2024 года на месторождении Кумтор впервые в истории рудника стартовала подземная добыча золота. Пресс-служба «Кумтор голд компани» поделилась фотографиями с производства.**

Напомним, что старт проекту [дали](https://economist.kg/ekonomika/2024/02/15/na-kumtorie-nachali-dobyvat-zoloto-podziemnym-sposobom/) первый зампредседателя кабмина Адылбек Касымалиев и президент «Кумтор голд компани» Алмазбек Барыктабасов.

> Было отмечено, что с помощью подземной добычи предприятие рассчитывает выйти на руду с более высоким содержанием золота. Кроме того, данный способ снижает негативное воздействие на окружающую среду, в том числе на ледники.
